Press briefing on the launch of the N-Power Batch C’s National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS).
The Honourable Minister @Sadiya_farouq stated that the N-Power started as an intervention for job creation. She says Batch C is a continuation of the ongoing strategy and an extension of the Buhari administration’s commitment to job creation and youth development.
The Permanent Secretary, Bashiru Alkali is giving the welcome remark.
He says NASIMS is a strategic response to address numerous challenges encountered in SIPs. It will drive efficiency and accountability and serve as a database for the programs. The Federal Government has said the long-awaited N-Power batch C programme will be launched into the National Social Investment Programme, NSIP today (Thursday)
The Special Assistant, Media & Publicity to the Hon Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Mrs. Nneka Ikem made the disclosure in a tweet on her official Twitter handle on Thursday.
The Minister’s media aide urged all applicants to watch out for information regarding their screening.
The tweet reads: “Breaking! @npower_ng Batch C to be launched today on @NSIP_NG Management System Platform NASIMS.
“#BatchC applicants should watch out for more information on their screening. @nairaland @NigerianYouthC2 @Npower_Reps”.
Recall that about five million Nigerian youths had applied for the N-Power program in 2020.
The batch registrations which commenced on June 26 2020, was aimed at engaging about five hundred thousand youths.
The programme, according to the minister is focused on providing Nigerian youths with opportunities to gain employability and entrepreneurship skills.
