APPLICANTS’ GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerians.
2. Age: By September 30, 2022, applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 30. (25 – 40 years for Medical Consultants). Please take note of the following:

a. Candidates born before September 29, 1992, are ineligible, as are candidates born before September 29, 1982, who are ineligible for medical consultants. Candidates born before September 29, 1992) are not eligible to apply for the position of Chaplain/Imam.
b. The Exercise is not intended for serving personnel seeking Branch Commission. Personnel over the age of 30 (born before September 29, 1992) are therefore not eligible to apply.
3. Marital Status: All applicants must be divorced or widowed by all means must be single

4. Height: Males must be 1.66m or 5.4ft tall and females must be 1.63m or 5.3ft tall.
5. Medical Fitness: All applicants must be medically and physically fit, as well as meet Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.

6. Local Government Area Attestation Form: Applicants’ Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed by a military officer from the same State as the applicants with the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy, or a police officer with the rank of Assistant Commissioner or above, or Local Government Area Chairmen/Secretaries.The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by a passport photograph as well as a photocopy of the signees’ Drivers License, National ID Card, or International Passport. The signee must also authenticate the applicant’s passport photo.
7. Original credentials must be presented: Successful applicants will be required to provide their original credentials for review at the Selection Board Interview Exercise. The credentials are as follows: a. Two recent passport-sized photographs must be stamped and countersigned by an officer of the appropriate rank, as described in paragraph 6.
b. Original and photocopies of birth certificates or declarations of age are required.

16. REQUIREMENTS AND ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    11. Applicants must have a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for first-degree holders and Upper Credit for HND holders. Furthermore, applicants must have credit in English Language and Mathematics, as well as three additional credits in topics linked to the degree course of study. Knowledge with computers will be advantageous.
    12. Applicants must have a NYSC Discharge Certificate or a Letter of Exemption from NYSC when applying for DSSC.
    13. Applicants must be fully registered with their respective statutory professional organisations in Nigeria, if appropriate.
