UNIBEN Post UTME Screening Exercise2021/2022  The University of Benin was established in 1970. It began as an Institute of Technology and was elevated to the status of a full-fledged university on July 1, 1971, by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The then-Military Governor of Mid-Western State, Col. S. O. Ogbemudia (then also a Visitor at the University), publicly announced the name change of the Institute of Technology to the University of Benin in his Budget Speech in April 1972. The University was taken over by the Federal Government on April 1, 1975, at the request of the State Government, and became a Federal University. With a multitude of Faculties, Departments, Institutes, and Units, the University has grown from strength to strength. In 1991/92 and 1992/93, the University experimented with the Collegiate System in accordance with NUC regulations.  UNIBEN Post UTME Screening Exercise2021/2022  The UNIBEN Post-UTME Screening Exercise for the 2021/2022 Academic Session will take place between the second week of September, 2021 in specified centres on the University’s Ugbowo Campus.

UNIBEN Eligible Candidates Post-UTME candidates must hold the following qualifications:
• Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2021/2022 UTME Admission and selected the University of Benin as their first choice, with a score of 200 or higher, are eligible for this Screening Exercise.
• Obtained at least five (5) credit passes in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent. English language and mathematics must be included (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required)

How to Fill Out the UNIBEN Post-UTME Form
The application process for the 2020/2021 Admission Screening is as follows:
Before beginning the application procedure, candidates should have a valid e-mail address.
• Go to uniben.edu.

 

• Go to the Student Portal. • Go to the WAEUP Portal.
• To proceed, click Register for application at the top left of the displayed page.
• Enter your Surname precisely as it appears on the JAMB Registration slip, as well as your JAMB Registration Number; your ID and Password will be shown on the browser immediately.
• On the WAEUP KOFA Student Portal, click the ‘Login’ button. (

  • On the WAEUP KOFA Student Portal click on ‘Login’ (top right of front page).
  • Enter your Username and password to login.
  • To start the application process, please click on the ‘Application record’ provide all required information and upload your passport photograph.
  • Upload a RECENT and CLEAR “1 x 1” COLOUR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WITH RED BACKGROUND IN JPEG FORMAT ONLY. Great care should also be taken to follow the specified formats on the UNIBEN website and portal. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION and failure/forfeiture of admission.

  • To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “pay via Remita” on top left corner of the page. Follow the instruction to pay the application GROSS fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) with a valid ATM-Enabled card from any commercial Bank in Nigeria.
  • Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. (No correction will be accepted after the closing date).
  • Go back online on the appointed date to print out the acknowledgement slip that contains your specific screening schedule.
