While speaking with a Nigerian news outlet, thenigeriafm.com stated that the Southeast has not produced Nigeria’s president in over 16 years, therefore the need for all parties in the country (Nigeria) to zone their ticket to the south east region.

West Ezenwa has appeal to PDP to zone the presidential ticket to the Southeast in 2023.

While one of the party The PDP chieftain further stated that zoning its presidential ticket to the region will be in the spirit of fairness and justice.

Which the c.e.o of thenigeriafm.com  stated this following the decision of PDP to zone its Chairmanship to the North.

PDP had decided at its National Executive Council meeting (NEC) in Abuja.

He  said, “zoning the ticket to the southeast Nigeria will reduce the briafa agitations  and the bloodshed in the east  and he is also asking the party in power which is the APC to follow suit for the benefit of the region , zoning its ticket to south west Nigeria will be a result of cheating to  the region

As an individual, I feel that the weight of equity and justice favours the president from the South and when we come to the South, we find out which zone has not yet produced the president and give the ticket to that zone.” thenigeriafm.com

Meanwhile, the former Chief Whip of the Senate, Roland Owie, has called on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party to zone its presidential ticket to the North ahead of the 2023 general election.

Owie while addressing newsmen in Benin, Edo State, noted that the South has ruled Nigeria for 14 years under PDP, while the north has ruled for two years.
