The registration period was originally scheduled to run from March 12th to March 19th, 2022; however, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled the exercise to begin on March 19 and run until March 26th, 2022.

A statement issued on Tuesday by Dr Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, said the one-week delay was necessary to allow for further fine-tuning of the upgraded and more user-friendly procedures for candidates’ registration.

He stated that the process, which will be completed within the one-week extension period, is also intended to accommodate feedback from candidates as well as other parties involved in the process.

Noting that the Board is always prepared to provide Nigerians with world-class services, he stated that the new and improved procedures for the 2022/23 UTME Registration would be made available on the Board’s website, in its weekly bulletin, and through other media outlets on Monday, February 14, 2022.

According to him, the candidates are urged to pay close attention to the registration procedures that will be announced by the Board following the publication of this notice.

The start of the 2022/23 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration process has been postponed by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The registration period was formerly set from March 12th to March 19th, 2022; however, JAMB has rescheduled the exercise to begin on March 19 and end on March 26th, 2022.

Dr Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, said in a statement on Tuesday that the one-week delay is to allow for more fine-tuning of the updated and more user-friendly procedures for candidate registration.

He stated that the procedure, which would be completed during the one-week extension time, will also take into account comments from candidates and other stakeholders.

While noting that the Board is always ready to give world-class services to Nigerians, he stated that on Monday, February 14, 2022, the revised and improved procedures for the 2022/23 UTME Registration would be made accessible on the Board’s website, weekly bulletin, and other media sources.

According to him, the candidates are urged by this notice to closely follow the registration processes as notified by the Board.
