In between the words ‘NIN’ and your 11-digit NIN, there should be a space (keep in mind that the number cannot have been used by another person to register for UTME/DE in the past).
Candidates are recommended not to use Postpaid or special bundle packages since they do not work unless they have been specially filled with credit prior to using them.
Candidate will receive a Profile Code of ten characters on the same telephone (SIM) number that he or she used to apply.
A text message sent to the candidate’s phone (mobile) number is automatically associated with the candidate’s name and will be used in all future communication pertaining to that candidate.
According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, candidates should take note of and constantly remember the sim number they used, as it is critical for subsequent communication with the board.
When you obtain the UTME/DE application documents, you are agreeing to receive text messages from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) (55019 or 66019) even when the “do not disturb” setting is turned on.
The candidate will present the profile code at the time of application document procurement from financial institutions (banks, MMOs, MFBs, switches, and USSD partners). Once this is done, an ePIN is given to the candidate’s phone via text message.
The candidate will produce the Profile code as well as the ePIN at any JAMB authorized CBT Center in order to complete the registration process.
After the candidate’s biometrics (all ten fingers) have been collected and a physical photograph taken, the Board stated that the application would not be complete until this has been done (No submission of passport photograph).
A candidate’s registration slip will be authorized to be printed once his or her biometrics and photograph have been successfully captured. It would be necessary to submit a fingerprint in order to complete any further transactions with JAMB pertaining to the candidate’s profile.

CENTRES FOR REGISTRATION
Computer Based Test Centers (CBT) and Professional Registration Centers (PRC) that have been accredited are the only locations where registration can be completed. Procedures for Registration In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Centers
The candidate must go to one of the approved CBT centers and present his or her profile code in order to be registered. At the CBT center, the candidate’s photos and biometrics (including all ten fingerprints) will be taken and analyzed.

 

Candidates should be aware that the N700 service charge that was previously payable at the CBT center for registration (NOT MOCK) has been incorporated into the registration cost, and as a result, candidates will not be required to pay for registration.

The only place where candidates with biometric problems can register is at a JAMB accredited center in any state where they are currently residing. The only location where candidates with biometric anomalies can register and sit for the examination is the Board’s headquarters in Abuja. The Board will assist with the travel arrangements.
