Founded in the year 2005, Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Firm Ltd. (SEEPCO) is an indigenous company that is engaged in the exploration and production (E&P) of oil and natural gas. SEEPCO participated in the 2005 bid round organized by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and was awarded license OML 143 as a result of their efforts (formerly OPL 280).

Responsibilities
Prepare and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, making observations and interpreting findings • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods to receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.)

• Separate, organize, and store all chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
• Accurately and responsibly record all data and outcomes in the appropriate forms (both paper and electronic).

• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed to the letter at all times, and that the laboratory is kept clean and organized • Assist with the ordering of laboratory supplies
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant job experience.
• Previous experience working in the field of gas chromatography • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Outstanding physical fitness and endurance.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and database systems is required.
