No fewer than two persons were claimed to have died in the tragedy and two others who are police officers were critically injured.

Our source reported that one of the vehicles over sped and slammed into another.
The accident occurred at the Bill Clinton Drive area of the Federal Capital Territory around 4:30 pm.
The former president, it was claimed, was coming from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his residence in Abuja when the accident occured.

It was further gathered that the former president was unhurt while those injured were transported to the National Hospital.
When reached, the Federal Road Safety Commission Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, confirmed the occurrence.
He, however, said those brought to the hospital are responding to treatment.
Kazeem remarked, “It was is convoy. Nothing occurred to him and his car is not involved in the accident. The vehicles in his convoy had a bash and two died, two are at the national hospital and are recuperating. Seven cars were however involved in the crash. ”
The Public Relations Officers of the National hospital in Abuja, Tayo Haastrup, also confirmed the occurrence.

The AERC is comprised of three key components: research, training, and public policy advocacy. Requirements for AERC Masters Scholarship Qualification

To qualify for AERC Masters Scholarship, applicant must:

  • Have applied and been admitted to any one of the listed CMAP universities;
  • Have attained at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent in Economics or related field from an accredited university; and
  • Female and applicants from post-conflict and 1states (especially the AERC Masters Bridge Programme alumni class of 2017 and 2018) are highly encouraged to apply.

Upon receipt of an admission letter from a specific university, applicants shall upload the following documents to the AERC scholarship portal http://scholarships.aercafrica.org

  • Certified copies of transcripts and certificates.
