In the ongoing primary election for governor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, an additional eight candidates have endorsed Mr. Peter Mbah as their candidate of choice.

Abraham Onyishi, Tochukwu Ude, Erasmus Anike, Nwabueze Ugwu, Reverend Ralph Nwoye, Professor Jehu Nnaji, Beloved Dan Anike, and Gabriel Ajah are among them. Also included is Prof. Jehu Nnaji.
They claimed that their choice was made out of a desire to show respect for the decision that was made by the party leadership.
On Sunday, the Chairman of the Election Committee, Senator Ambuno Zik, announced that the number of candidates who are still in the race has been cut down to nine now that they have all withdrawn from the competition.
