Recall that we shared an update a few days ago regarding the efforts that the government is making to ensure that they institutionalized the Npower Programme and other NSIP programme, and if you missed the update, you can read it here: Federal Executive Council Approved NSIP Bill. In light of the aforementioned, the Ministry has maintained implementing several projects from the NSIP in different parts of the country. And a good example of this is the fact that on Saturday, the Minister traveled to Owerri, which is located in the state of Imo, in order to supervise the Grant for Vulnerable Groups and several other NSIPs, which include the following:
Npower Stipend Payment for July and August 2022
1) Commence implementation of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program (GEEP 2.0).
2) In order to speed up the payment process for the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Program, it is necessary to launch the digitized conditional cash transfer payment system.
3) The handing over of utensils and the beginning of the National Sensitization Exercise for the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP). This exercise is designed to educate and sensitize communities as well as stakeholders on the correct and more effective implementation of the NHGSFP.
4) The recruitment of Stream II of the Independent Monitors (IMs), who are selected from the local youth population and hired for a period of 12 months at a salary of N30,000 per month. Their job is to closely monitor and report on the implementation and performance of all of the NSIP projects in the State.
In addition to this, as part of this, Npower beneficiaries are being recommended to stay informed via the Nasims self-service portal for the latest information regarding the payment of stipends and the publishing of Stream 2.
