So, it’s important to know if the rules for getting a study visa in the country you want to go to require any special health tests.

Students must have a good reputation, and they must be able to show proof of this at their visa interview. In the next part of the article, we’ll talk about some of the most common documents that can be used to show that you’re a good person.
In countries like Germany, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, students need to meet certain financial requirements before they can apply for a study permit. Before they can even apply for a student visa to study in Germany, students who want to go there must open a blocked account. Students who want to go to a university in Canada through the study direct stream program must also open a GIC account. So, if you want to get a student visa to study in one of these countries, you should be aware of any financial requirements you may need to meet. ,
Students must pay for their own health care while they are abroad. At the time of the visa interview, they must bring the necessary paperwork to the embassy or consulate.

It is important to know that all people who want to study abroad and apply for a study permit or a study visa must meet all of the above requirements. Let’s talk about another important part of the student visa process: getting money.

Step 3: Make sure you have the money you need.

Part of getting a student visa is figuring out how to pay for things. In fact, it has to be done as part of the process of getting a student visa. But from talking to most students, the WeMakeScholars team has noticed that many students who want to study abroad take this for granted and wait until the last minute to get the money they need to do so.

Before starting the visa process, it is very important for students to know how long they have to show proof of funds to their embassies. Students who want to study in Germany and Canada, for example, must show proof that they bought a blocked account and a GIC from one of the participating banks.

Students can pay for their college education abroad in three different ways. Self-funding, getting a scholarship, or getting a loan. Even though many universities abroad offer a wide range of scholarships, a lot of students who want to study abroad don’t meet the requirements. These students only have two options: pay for college on their own or take out an education loan.

Things to do before applying for a student visa

Every choice about how to pay for a student’s education abroad needs to be made after a lot of thought. Even though people with more money can still choose the first option, a lot of students only have one choice left: to take out loans to study abroad. Self-funding is a good way to pay for your education abroad without having to worry about money, but it is not the best way to pay for your education abroad. This is why.

Easy visa approval
If you pay for your education abroad on your own, your chances of getting a visa are much lower than if you get an education loan.
This is because most visa offices need to make sure that the applicant’s source of money is reliable and that the money keeps coming in. Government banks have done well in the past.
Payment all at once
When students pay for their own education, they have to pay for the whole course in one payment. When you get an education loan, your course fees are sent from the bank to your school’s account every year or semester.
Living expenses
When a student pays for school on their own, they have to make sure that their tuition fees and living costs are taken care of. Living costs make up almost half of a student’s total costs. A lot of the time, candidates don’t have enough money to pay for their living costs. Most of them solve this problem by getting a part-time job.
Students will be better off in the long run if they get a part-time job. Most education loans cover the cost of a student’s living expenses. So, they don’t need to find other sources to fill this part.
Getting money in a short amount of time
In self-funding, many universities require students to pay the full cost of their course at the start of the course.
Many candidates who haven’t done their research well or who don’t know about this mandate find it stressful to come up with the required amount in a short amount of time. On the other hand, when a candidate takes out an education loan, the tuition fee is put into the student’s university account on a regular basis. So, in a short amount of time, the student won’t have to worry about getting money.

Changes in exchange rates
People who are paying for their own education abroad on their own need to be aware of how currency values change from time to time.
In these situations, there is a chance that the university might raise the tuition fees out of the blue. This turns into a contingency, and students who pay for themselves need to plan for it.
On the other hand, when students get a loan for school, they don’t use all of the money the bank gives them. So, if there is inflation, they can still ask the bank to give them the rest of the loan amount.

Government Subsidies
Together with the Ministry of Human Resources, the Indian government has started a number of programs to help students who have taken out education loans pay less for the interest on those loans.
The Government of India has started a lot of subsidy programs, but Section 80E of the Income-Tax Act of 1961 is the most well-known one. This section says that people who take out education loans don’t have to pay income tax on them.
The Indian government started these programs because it knows how hard it is for students to pay for school abroad.
Article 80E
As was said above, many students who took out education loans from nationalized banks were able to save a lot of money on interest by taking advantage of Section 80 E, which exempts interest on education loans from income tax.
Students who are paying for their own education abroad can’t use this benefit. Because of this, many students who could pay for college on their own started taking out education loans so they could get this interest subsidy. In this case, those who get a loan for school from a bank that the government owns are better off.

When they claim the interest deductions on their taxes, they or their co-applicants become eligible for a subsidy to help pay for the interest on their student loans.

Loan repayment period
This is the best thing about getting a student loan. Banks give students a grace period of between 6 months and a year to get the money they need to pay back their loans. Government banks offer people who want to borrow money for school a repayment period that can last up to 15 years after the course is over.

Step 4: Get the important papers ready.

Documentation is another important part of getting a student visa. People who don’t have the right paperwork aren’t eligible for a study permit or a student visa to study abroad. Here are some of the most common documents that most embassies need to process an application for a student visa.

Proof of identity: Some acceptable proofs of identity are a passport, a driver’s license, an Aadhar card, etc.
Proof of good character: A police certificate from their home country is enough to show that they are trustworthy. Candidates must not have been convicted of a crime in their home country in the past.
Proof of good health: Most embassies ask candidates to send a report from a medical exam to their own consulates or embassies.

Letter of confirmation from the university.
Proof that you have the money you need.
Medical insurance
If you need it, travel insurance
Certificates from all the required tests ( language exams like IELTS or TOEFL whichever is applicable)
Academic transcripts
If the embassy asks for more documents, you should bring them. For example, in order to get a visa to study in the United States, students must bring an I-20 form to their visa interview.

Step 5: Set up an interview for your student visa

One of the first important steps that every student must take in the student visa process is to go to the interview. When going to the interview, students need to remember that they need to bring the original copies of their documents that are listed on the respective document checklist.  Things to do before applying for a student visa

When is the Right Time to Apply for a Student Loan?

The right time to apply for a student loan is about 1.5 months before the time you have to pay it back. India’s process for getting a student loan can take up to a month, depending on the type of loan the student wants. Because of this, it is always best to apply for one early.
