Netflix is in the process of establishing its own in-house gaming studio because the company does not want to continue relying on other game developers to bolster the selection of games it offers.

The game development studio, which has its headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, intends to produce original games of “world-class” quality, free of advertisements and in-app payments.

As part of its expansion into the gaming industry, Netflix has acquired a number of game developers, one of which being Night School Studio, the company that developed Oxenfree. Within the past year or so, the publishing house has made available several books that have received positive reviews, such as Into the Breach and Poinpy. However, it has not created a developer from the ground up. To this point.

Netflix has stated that it will be “years” before we see the first fruits of this internal studio’s labor in regards to the production of original video games. Meanwhile, the creators of Monument Valley are hard at work on their next project, which will debut later today exclusively on Netflix and is called Us Two’s Desta.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 falls to a new low of $250

If you’ve been waiting for a deal on Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 5, it’s already here. Amazon’s Woot portal is selling the 40mm model in three colors (Grey, Pink Gold, and Silver) for $250, which is $30 less than the regular price or 11 percent off.

Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 falls to a new low of $250

In our Engadget review, the Galaxy Watch 5 got a solid 85, and we called it “the best smartwatch that isn’t made by Apple” again. Samsung put more effort into making it better than the Watch 4, so it has a longer battery life (up to 80 hours), is more durable thanks to Sapphire Crystal glass, and has a temperature sensor that doesn’t work.

Aside from that, it looks and has the same features as before, which is a good thing. It is powered by a responsive 5-nanometer Exynos processor and runs Wear OS. It uses Samsung’s bezel-based navigation and a touch-sensitive ring around the screen to frame the screen. This gives you access to a lot of apps and lets you track your health and activities, as well as your sleep. Using the body-impedance analysis tool, you can find out how your body is made up. You can also take ECG scans, reply to messages, control music playback, and more.

The sensors stay in touch with your wrist because the bottom is slightly curved. It is rated IP68, 5ATM, and MIL-STD-810H for durability (water, dust and pressure resistance). The main problem is that the always-on display drains the battery much faster than the Apple Watch 7. Still, it’s the best Android smartwatch you can get, and it’s not often that a brand-new device goes on sale. Keep in mind that Woot sales have time limits and a different return policy than Amazon, which owns Woot.
