A list of requests for the company’s “current and future leadership” is also included in the letter. Additionally to “fair severance rules for all employees,” letter signatories urge Musk to maintain current employee perks including remote work. Musk has previously criticized remote employment and advocated for the majority of Twitter staff to work in traditional offices again.

The letter also suggests a potential ideological gap between some Twitter employees and Musk, who has declared his preference for less restraint. The letter demands that management refrain from treating employees unfairly on the grounds of their color, gender, handicap, sexual orientation, or political convictions.
